Profs in National News Discussing Rising Food Prices

Prof. David Sparling, associate dean, research and graduate studies for the College of Management and Economics and Prof. Al Weersink, Department of Food, Agricultural and Resource Economics, will be featured on 16 CBC radio stations across the country Thursday morning, including Ontario Morning at 6:15 a.m. They will be doing live interviews with each radio station, talking about the reasons for rising global food prices. Insulin Here I Come

My doc finally decided it was time for me to start using insulin (Humulin N). I wish I had started it a year ago when his substitute doc thought it was time for me to start using insulin. How much damage, if any, would have been avoided in that year? I suppose I'll never know. I had a one-on-one class with the diabetes educator at the local hospital to learn how to inject. Well there is a new radio station in town. Ok maybe not in town, but within the whole world. It’s called KBC Radio. With Shows on Channel 12902 on Ubroadcast, KBC has new shows including Tech2do live, The Chris Pirillo Show, and KBC News.

Mothers Day morning is the most precious time of the year for me, as I’m certain it is for all mothers. My boys jump into our bed, smother me in hugs and kisses and proudly present me with their cards and gifts. It is truly the best morning of the year. Our original plans for Mother’s Day were centered around a low key evening of grilling and dining on our back patio. Torrential rain storms and chilly temperatures made moving inside a wise decision. But it also meant a menu change. We settled on shrimp (do you notice a trend here?) and grits and a green salad and set off to do our shopping.
